Terms of Service

1. Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using qooti, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use qooti.

2. The Service

qooti is a local-first application for macOS and Windows, developed by Bloot, for saving, organising, and working with visual inspiration — images, GIFs, videos, and links. An optional Android companion app lets you send links and media to your desktop library. Your library — all saved media, metadata, tags, and search indexes — lives entirely on your own device. Bloot does not host, access, or transmit your media.

3. Account and Subscription

A Bloot account is required to use qooti. You create an account at account.bloot.app by verifying your Telegram identity. No email or password is required.

qooti offers three plans:

• Free — core features, forever free.
• Pro (monthly) — all Pro features, billed monthly.
• Pro (yearly) — all Pro features, billed annually at a reduced rate.

Current pricing is shown at account.bloot.app. Pro subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from your account at account.bloot.app.

Your Bloot account may be used on a limited number of devices at the same time. If you reach the limit, you can free up a slot by removing a device from your account at account.bloot.app.

4. Personal Use

qooti is designed for personal, non-commercial archiving. You agree to use qooti solely to save and organise content for your own personal reference and inspiration — not for commercial distribution, resale, or any purpose that violates applicable law.

5. Third-Party Platform Terms

Saving content from third-party platforms — including YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and others — may be subject to those platforms' own terms of service. qooti provides a technical tool; you are responsible for ensuring your use complies with the terms of every platform you save from. Bloot does not endorse saving content in violation of platform rules.

6. Prohibited Uses

qooti retrieves publicly accessible content and, for platforms that require a login, content accessible through your existing authenticated browser session. You agree not to use qooti to circumvent Digital Rights Management (DRM) or other technical protection measures, to bypass platform access controls, or to access content you are not otherwise authorised to view.

7. No Redistribution

Content saved via qooti is for your personal reference only. You agree not to redistribute, republish, sell, or commercially exploit content owned by third parties that you save using qooti.

8. Chrome Extension and Browser Cookies

The qooti Chrome extension accesses browser session cookies from your Chrome profile to enable downloads from platforms that require a logged-in session (e.g. Instagram, TikTok).

By using the Chrome extension, you acknowledge and agree that:

• Cookies are accessed only for the specific domain you are downloading from.
• Cookies are sent only to the qooti desktop app running locally on the same machine — never to any external server.
• The temporary cookie file is deleted immediately after the download completes.
• No passwords, payment details, or other sensitive data are accessed or stored.

This permission is required for the extension's core download functionality. You may disconnect the extension at any time from the extension popup.

9. Privacy

Your saved media, tags, and search indexes never leave your device, and qooti performs no background telemetry or usage tracking. The information transmitted to Bloot's servers is limited to: account and licence management (your display name, Telegram user ID, subscription status, and a device identifier used to enforce the device limit); routine update checks (your operating system, architecture, and app version); and — only when you choose to send feedback from within the app — your app version, item count, connected devices, and a short recent-activity log to help us diagnose the issue.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

qooti is provided "as is" without any warranty of any kind. Bloot does not guarantee that qooti will operate without errors or interruptions, that downloads from third-party platforms will always succeed, or that any particular feature will be available indefinitely.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Bloot is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of qooti.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. When we do, we will update the effective date above. Continued use of qooti after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
